Welcome

I really love how this story unfolded! It starts and ends with questions, and encourages the reader to both think and feel as the story progresses. I think anyone who ever attended Jr. High will be able to relate to the story. And yes the story is for adults as well as teens and tweens. The story of her 7th grade year offers lessons in some pagan beliefs, including energy work, the star signs, plant magic, ghosts, heaven and hell and so much more.
Taffy's father has just commit suicide at the beginning of the story and we pick up after the funeral and during the winter school holiday. One of the questions I am often asked is "are you Taffy or is Taffy you" and the answer is no. The series is a fiction series, that said however yes, my father did commit suicide. The stories while fiction do come from knowledge and experiences in my own life, that are then melded into tales. In this book we meet Aunt Miranda, and I think she has some of my tendencies, as does Taffy. Yes I am currently living in Idaho, and the books are set in Idaho but the school, the mountain, etc are fictional. Taking a bit of this location or a bit of that one and mixing them together to create the settings.
At the end of the book there are some facts and resources about suicide. If you or someone you love is considering suicide please seek help. A conversation can't hurt, and may help you find one more option instead.
