Something that many people do is to choose a word for the coming year, or a phrase. And or choose a song for the coming year, a theme song of sorts. And many choose a theme too.
Is it worth it, and does it work? And is January when you should make those choices?
January is in the winter season, and that is not the time to plant. When you are choosing a song, word, theme, you are planting those seeds for the year. So if you think about it as seeds, ask yourself what "happens to the seeds that you plant out of time?". Can you save them, cultivate, grow them, have a success and harvest? And what does that take to achieve?
Are you in flow, or force?
Now can you try it on, and use it till the planting season and then maybe choose it again.
Winter is when we are past the harvest season, and we are in the thinking, the planning, the taking stock, the review and the hibernation. And your "theme" comes to you, based on many things, what you get to choose is how you move through it. The skills that you use in a joy year are different than those that you use in a work year.
Where does your theme come from? Your number for the year, your chakra for the year, your astrology for the year, and the overall number and element of the year. January is a good time to unpack what you are looking at for the year ahead. Think of it as getting your map for the journey.
