And sure each generation probably knows that to a degree, but with the expansion of the online world, social media and gun violence (more of an issue here in the states than other places, we know) and more it really is more challenging. Do you work with children, tweens or teens? And or their families? I think you would benefit from a free class offered by Strong Resilient Youth. I have taken the class, and I got some good takeaways from it. You can do it online, on your own time, and there is no charge for it. You can find the registration page here: https://www.strongresilientyouth.org/get-started I recommend the training, because it's thoughtful in reminding us all of the bigger picture, that we can so often forget in the busy day to day work, especially if you are working in an area that is understaffed. The National Council for Wellbeing, and many other leaders in the field have also endorsed this program and the work they do, including this training opportunity. |
